This project was born in Barcelona, a city where skateboarding is part of everyday life and worn-out decks are constantly replaced and discarded. Rather than seeing these boards as waste, I began collecting them and giving them a second life through sculpture. Initially used as painting surfaces, the skateboards gradually became the material itself. Their curves, coloured plywood layers, scratches, and signs of use are preserved and incorporated into each work, carrying the memory of their previous function.

By cutting and reassembling the decks, they are transformed into sharks, jaws, fish, and other organic forms. These sculptures establish a dialogue between the urban world and the sea, converting objects once associated with movement, impact, and the streets into creatures that evoke strength, survival, and transformation. The project reflects on the creative potential of reuse. Discarded skateboards are no longer seen as the end of an object's life, but as the beginning of a new narrative, where every mark of use becomes an essential part of the sculpture's identity.
